Release notes for November 2019 (5.9.0) - Applaud for Oracle E-Business Suite

Changes in 5.9.0 (November 2019, v7491) 

Green items are new features.

1. Manual post-install step (required since October 2018):

  • Applies to all customers. Please ensure that you have scheduled the License Management concurrent program to run on a daily basis. Failure to do so may result in users getting blocked from accessing the application.  Please refer to this article for more information.

Platform:

  • Custom body fonts can now be used when creating a custom brand. Login to your Applaud Cloud tenant and navigate to the brands page to see the new options
  • A 'light' feeling color can now be specified in addition to positive, balanced, energized and assertive
  • Notifications now open in a large modal window when accessed from the mini-worklist
  • The Page loader (xxas_full_page_loader.lct) now imports and exports chart settings
  • The public app will now periodically ask the end-user if they would like to rate the app or provide feedback.  This does not apply to custom apps.
  • Selecting a push notification when signed out now correctly takes you to the notification detail after signing in
  • Improved Android 10 stability by eliminating a common crash
  • Push notifications now work in an Single Sign On configuration
  • Corrected the alignment of drop-down field values in right-to-left
  • Nav menu items that happen to contain the word 'info' no longer have a colored background
  • On large screens, pages with an anchored header configured are now anchored
  • The styling of the form field label for 'List' is now consistent with other form field labels
  • List item actions with long labels now show up to 3 lines before being truncated 
  • Custom apps with a packaged host no longer show the connect page when a user has no connection; instead it shows a simple network connection error
  • Date range fields are now translated in their view state
  • Navigating between steps on a form with a stepper now auto-scrolls to the top
  • Corrected the alignment of the list item header when in selection with a single block on the page
  • Removed an "Error during service worker registration" console error
  • Face ID detection is now immediate when first accessing the sign in page
  • Ensures that auto-complete fields always show results, even when the result contains text that doesn't match the search input
  • Ensures the correct end date is set when creating 1 day events from a single cell in the calendar
  • Long menu item labels in sub-menus no longer overlaps
  • Corrected the mobile display of certain forms that weren't rendering correctly in right-to-left
  • In a multiple select field when the field is occupied with values, the layout is now improved so the user can clearly see the search text
  • Org chart text is now shown when using the Edge browser
  • Improved the alignment of icon fields in a multirow
  • Worklist attachments now open directly in the app rather than punching out to the browser
  • In a Single Sign On configuration, Applaud local login now works when you haven't defined the SSO login URL 
  • The in-app back button is now always removed when selecting Home from the quick links

Self Service HR:

  • Improved the display of the out-the-box job, performance  and salary views into a new timeline layout. Any custom view using the timeline Fast Formula outputs will automatically get updated.
  • Show the Salary Basis field on the review page when it has been updated
  • In New Hire, KFF segments are now automatically updated when the Business Group is changed
  • In New Hire, fast formula and triggers now fire correctly for multi-rows such as phones
  • Remove direct reports from the Change Supervisor page when the direct reports have been terminated that day
  • Dragging/dropping a calendar event no longer shows the event popover in the top-left
  • Improved the cursor used to drag calendar entries
  • Corrected the display of calendar entries on the week view
  • Corrected a layout issue where the vertical lines overlap the nodes on Chrome
  • Show the org chart in its mobile view whenever its on a page with a multi-column layout
  • Phone numbers in an errored workflow state no longer show the misleading Update/Delete buttons that won't work
  • Allows absences and time to be logged directly from the calendar without error when in an Arabic session
  • Change pay can now be submitted even when grade rules are end-dated

Time & Payments:

  • IN punches that don't yet have an OUT are now shown on the calendars
  • Resolves "ORA-06531: Reference to uninitialized collection" error when mass entering time into OTL
  • Ensure that full entry history can be tracked for OTL entries by storing a reference to the time punch in hxc_time_attributes
  • Prevented submission by clicking twice to bypass end time validation

Performance:

  • The date of goal comments in list items were previous truncated. These have now been moved to above the name so their full text is visible.
  • Performance banner ads now use black text instead of white so they're easier to read
  • In the Recent Updates block, goal comments are now removed to improve load time. This compromise was necessary to ensure uninterpreted production operation and acceptable performance.
  • Entering goal comments on Internet Explorer is now fluid without a delay
  • Performance page now loads without error when a goal contains many multi-byte characters
