When you synchronize SharePoint content into Applaud, country tags help ensure employees see knowledge that's relevant to their location. Applaud uses these tags to determine which synchronized SharePoint content is available through knowledge search and the AI Assistant.
How country tagging works
During synchronization, Applaud applies country tags to eligible synchronized content using your tenant's configured country data.
These tags determine which employees can access synchronized SharePoint content, based on your organization's audience-targeting rules.
Country tagging affects content visibility in Applaud only. It doesn't modify your original files stored in SharePoint.
Keep country data up to date
To ensure accurate audience targeting:
- Maintain your organization's country records in Applaud.
- Update country information before synchronizing SharePoint content.
- Allow synchronization to complete after making changes to your country data.
Applaud applies updated country information the next time it synchronizes eligible content.
Verify content targeting
If employees can't find expected SharePoint content:
- Verify that the SharePoint site synchronized successfully.
- Verify that the appropriate country tags have been applied.
- Review your audience targeting configuration.
