The Product Administration concurrent program is an alternative way to activate a product and can be run from the Applaud Administrator's responsibility. You may also add this new concurrent program to a request group of your choice, so you can access it from your own responsibilities.
The program takes the following parameters:

To view the status of your chosen product, pick the product name from the list in the field Product, choose the value I in the Action field, and then submit the request.
If you are within the 30-day grace period the output file will show:
- Number of days remaining within the trial period
- Your serial number
If you are outside the 30-day grace period the output file will show:
- Confirmation that the trial has expired
- Your serial number
If you have activated the product, the output file will show you confirmation that your product is activated together with the status of the current activation.
If there is a problem with your product installation, the log file will advise you with a warning message. If this happens please review the warning message and, if necessary, contact us for assistance.
Activating your product via the concurrent program
Firstly, obtain the serial number for the product as described in viewing the status via the concurrent program above.
Please supply your Serial Number as plain text (not a screenshot image) to Applaud Solutions together with the Customer Name by either raising a Service Request or by sending an email to support@applaudsolutions.com. You will receive an activation code within one working day once we have validated the license purchase.
Shortly after sending Applaud your serial number, you will receive an Activation Code by return. This activation code will be of the form:
AC-******-******-******-******-********
where * is an alphanumeric character. Your Activation Code may be longer or shorter than this example.
Please be aware that we are not able to issue activation codes if you have not procured software licenses or signed the appropriate legal documents.
To activate your product, you will need to run the Product Administration concurrent program. Choose the product you are activating, the mode of A, paste in the activation code (complete with hyphens [-] and the AC- prefix), and submit the request. Check the resulting output to confirm the product has been activated successfully. You can double-check the activation is successful by running the program again in I mode.
The License Management concurrent program allocates users' licenses and helps ensure compliance by alerting you to licensing issues, such as under-licensing, product expiry, or other problems. It also helps you avoid under-licensing by re-allocating licenses when they are no longer used. To learn more about license compliance, please see License compliance.
This program must be run on a regular basis and the recommended schedule is weekly. It has no parameters.
To schedule this program:
- Ensure you have been assigned the Applaud Administrator responsibility
- Navigate to Applaud Administrator: Requests: Submit Requests
- Select the License Management concurrent program and hit Schedule
- Use a Periodical schedule that is re-run every 7 days. You should leave the End At field blank to ensure it's run indefinitely; leave the default interval from the Start of the prior run
- Hit OK to schedule this program on a regular basis
