Use this page to configure your detail content block for your page.
This article covers information in the settings page for a form whether in a Detail block or in a Tabs block.
Choose data
Model | The name of the model that you selected on the previous dialog box. |
Properties | All the properties in the model. You can remove the ones you don't need in your detail block. |
Allow related models to be updated in the same form (not usually recommended) | Expands the view so you can select any connected model's properties so they can be included in your detail block. |
Relationship | The list of related models, these are connected with a foreign key property. See our knowledge base article, About a model's schema. |
Properties | The list of properties in the selected related model. |
Form interactions

ADD INTERACTION | Opens the Add Interaction dialog box. |
Interaction row | Each row is a new interaction. Select the row to open the Add Interaction dialog box and edit the interaction. You can quickly delete an interaction by selecting More and selecting Delete. |
Design form
Show hidden fields | If you've selected to hide fields, you can remove them from this view by clearing this option. |
Select a field to see the edit options: |

Let's you drag and drop the field to the position you want it. |

Removes the field from the form. |

Opens the Edit field dialog box so you can configure the field. |

Opens the context menu so you can add another element to your detail block: |

ADD INTERACTION | Opens the Add Interaction dialog box. |
Interaction row | Each row is a new interaction. Select the row to open the Add Interaction dialog box and edit the interaction. You can quickly delete an interaction by selecting More and selecting Delete. |
Additional configuration
General content settings
Title |
The text that you want to appear on your button. |

Type of action |
A list of options of how your page can open. For example, in a new tab or a dialog box or modal. |

Target |
A list of the available pages in your tenant that the button opens or the URL of the website that you want to open. |

Icon |
A list of available icons that you can choose to add to the button. |
||||
Color |
The default colors that you can choose the button to be. If you don't select this, Applaud uses the balanced color by default. |

Weight |
How you want the button to appear:

Hide/show based on a model property |
A boolean property in the model that when it meets your selected Condition hides or shows the button.

Condition |
The condition you want to happen if the boolean property is true. |
||||
Show the title and header bar |
This indicates that the title and header bar of the content block is shown. Clear this to hide the title on the block. |

Preferred width |
|
||||
Background color |
The background color of the block. Select or enter a hex value for the color of your choice. |
||||
Hide on |
Hides this block on specific devices, so for example, if you have something that's only for mobile, you can choose to hide it on other devices. |

Hide this block when there are no items to show |
Hides the list block completely when there are no items in the list. This saves space on your page when items aren't present. This is not selected by default.
NoteIf you select this and there no items because of applied filters, Applaud hides the block completely. |

Hide or show this block using filters | Restrict or allow viewing further by adding custom filters to your list block. You can base these filters on anything such as role type, department, or location. | ||||
SUBMISSION SETTINGS | Opens the Edit field dialog box so you can configure the submit button. |
