Use this dialog box to configure your calendar settings.
Choose data
Model |
The name of the model that you want to use in your content block. If you have related models, you can choose them instead. |
Filter data items |
Expands the view to show the Filter data items section to select the conditions you want the data items to meet. Don't use this for access control because users can still access data through other means, such as APIs. |
Filter data items
Filter the content of your block to only show relevant data items.
Property |
A list of available properties for this model. |
Criteria |
A list of criteria that you can choose that you want the property value to meet. |
Value |
The value that you want the property data value to meet. |
Design calendar
Realtime preview | A preview of how your selected property's values will look in the content block. |
Calendar views | The various views in which data can be viewed. |
Default calendar view | The view that appears first. If you select more than one view, the user can toggle between the selected views. |
Start of week | When you want the week in the calendar to start. |
Event date range property | The property's value that you want to appear in your calendar block. |
Title | The property's value you want to appear as the main text on the event in the calendar. |
Sub title | The property's value you want to appear under the main text on the event in the calendar. |
Use primary action | Displays the Link To options. This opens either a page in your Applaud tenant or an external link, for example, a time-off booking system. |
Link To |
You can link to an existing page in your tenant or an external link:

Page |
Appears after you select the "Applaud Cloud Page" option from the Link To setting. It lists all the pages in your Applaud tenant. The page you select opens when a user selects the event in your calendar. |
Hyperlink |
Appears after you select the "External Hyperlink" option from the Link To setting. You can type in any URL to open when a user selects the event in the calendar. |
Link target |
The options of how you want the page or URL to open, either in the current browser tab, a new tab, or in a dialog box (modal) within the page.

Supplementary text | The text that shows when you place your mouse cursor over an event in the calendar. |
Background color property |
This is a color-type property you must have in your model. This changes the background color of the event in the calendar. |
Text color property |
This is a color-type property you must have in your model. This changes the color of the text you selected earlier. |
Status bar color property |
Shows a small colored status bar to the left of each item. |
Secondary icon property |
An icon that shows on the event itself. |
Show filters that allow the user to refine the list of items |
Displays the Property and Type fields so you can add your own filters. |
Property |
The property whose value by which you want to filter. |
Type |
The type of filter you want to use, for example, multiple select, single select, or range slider. |
Resource scheduler
Use resource scheduler | Turns on the resource scheduler view and so the settings appear in the dialog box. |
Default view | Whether you want the Scheduler or Calender to appear when the page is opened. |
Resource scheduler views | The various views you can have in the scheduler. |
Default scheduler view | If you select more than one resource scheduler view, you need to specify the default view. |
Resource relationship | The relationship of the resource to the event. Usually, the event belongs to the resource, for example, User. |
Hide resources that don't have events | If you have quite a few resources, you can only show the ones with event with this option. |
Resource label | The title label shown above the resource column, for example, Users. |
Global events label | The events without a resource are shown in this top row, you can choose what to called this row in the resource column. |
Resource features | The features you want each resource to include. |
Resouce text
Title | The property value you want to appear as the resource label. |
Sub title | The property value you want to appear under the resource label. |
Overline | The property value you want to appear above the resource label. |
Action text | The property value you want to appear to the right of the resource label. |
Resource avatar / icon / image
Resource avatar / icon / image Style | The image or icon you want to appear to the left of the resource label. |
Image property | The image you want to appear to the left of the resource label. |
Placeholder text | The text to display if there is no image to display. |
Icon property | The icon you want to appear to the left of the resource label. |
Icon color property | The color you want the icon to be. |
Use a badge | A colored dot that appears on the avatar or icon to indicate a state. You can't use this on an image. |
Badge color property | The color of your badge. |

Link To |
You can link to an existing page in your tenant or an external link:

Page |

Resource chips
Property | The boolean property in your model you want to use. |
Condition | Choose if you want to show the chip if the boolean property is true or false. |
Text | The text you want to appear in the chip. |
Color | The color of the chip. This opens the color picker and you can choose any color. |
Icon | The list of icons you can choose from to appear on the chip. |

The text that you want to appear on your button. |

Type of action |
A list of options of how your page can open. For example, in a new tab or a dialog box or modal. |

A list of the available pages in your tenant that the button opens or the URL of the website that you want to open. |

A list of available icons that you can choose to add to the button. |

Color |
The default colors that you can choose the button to be. If you don't select this, Applaud uses the balanced color by default. |

Hide/show based on a model property | A boolean property in the model that when it meets your selected Condition hides or shows the button. | ||
Condition | The condition you want to happen if the boolean property is true. |
Show the title and header bar |
This indicates that the title and header bar of the content block is shown. Clear this to hide the title on the block. |
Preferred width |

Background color |
The background color of the block. Select or enter a hex value for the color of your choice. |
Hide on |
Hides this block on specific devices, so for example, if you have something that's only for mobile, you can choose to hide it on other devices. |
Hide or show this block using filters | Hides the list block completely when there are no items in the list. This saves space on your page when items aren't present. This is not selected by default. If you select this and there are no items because of applied filters, Applaud hides the block completely. |
Property | Filters the block properties or your selected property. |
Criteria | What conditions that you want the property value to meet. |
Value | The value you want the property value to be to hide the block. |
