As a Knowledge Manager, you can use the Mass Change Knowledge Owner feature to efficiently reassign ownership of multiple articles. This tool is handy when managing team transitions, redistributing workloads, or aligning content ownership with subject matter expertise.
When to use mass change owner
You should reassign ownership when a current owner transitions to a new role, leaves the organization, or shifts their responsibilities. By using the mass change feature, you can quickly update ownership for multiple articles, ensuring each piece of content remains actively maintained and aligned with organizational goals.
Procedure
- From the main burger bar menu, select KNOWLEDGE MANAGER to expand the menu and select Manage Knowledge.
- Select MASS CHANGE OWNER, and the Choose the knowledge owner to reassign from dialog box appears with a list of knowledge management users. Select one from the list.
- Scroll down the page to the articles you need to change the owner and from the New owner list, then select the person you want to be the new owner of the article.
- Once you're happy with the new owners of the knowledge articles, select REASIGN NOW.
