A sub-menu is a menu of pages related to the content on the page you are looking at. For example, you might have sub-menus for:
- A sub-menu for people data. This might show items such as Profile, Time & Absence, Learning, Pay, Performance, Team, etc.
- A sub-menu for purchase order data. This might show Headers, Lines, Distributions, Accounts, etc.
- A sub-menu for expense data. This might show Expense reports, Credit card transactions, Authorizations, Projects, Tasks, etc.
You can create an unlimited number of sub-menus.
Each page specifies the sub-menu that should be displayed when that page is accessed. See Pages for details on how to set this. Specifying the sub-menu for a page does not mean that the page appears in the sub-menu as a menu item; you can choose if and where a particular page appears in a sub-menu.
Creating a menu
You can create your own sub-menus. To create a sub-menu:
- Navigate to Applaud Administrator: Setup: Menus: Add
- Fill out the details and Save
- Add menu items to the menu
- Link a page to this sub-menu and access that page
Updating a menu and its items
To update a menu or its items:
- Navigate to Applaud Administrator: Setup: Menus
- Find the menu you wish to update and select it
- Edit the menu or update the menu's items
You cannot edit Applaud-seeded menus.
Deleting a menu
To delete a menu:
- Navigate to Applaud Administrator: Setup: Menus
- Find the menu you wish to delete and select it
- Press the Delete button
You cannot delete Applaud-seeded menus.
