Validation action dialog box – Applaud Support

Use this dialog box to add a validation action to your validation rule.

Add if/then branch	Use this action to branch logic based on a condition.
Retrieve information	Use this action to set the value of a selected model's property, either based on another property or a specific value.
Raise error message	Use this action to configure the message you want to appear to your users. You can use dynamic fields with the expression builder by selecting Token.
Send warning message	Use this action to configure the message you want to appear to your users. You can use dynamic fields with the expression builder by selecting Token.
Send info message	Use this action to configure the message you want to appear to your users. You can use dynamic fields with the expression builder by selecting Token.
Send success message	Use this action to configure the message you want to appear to your users. You can use dynamic fields with the expression builder by selecting Token.

Add if/then branch

Property	The model schema property.
Criteria	A list of possible conditions to be met.
Value	The value that you want the condition of the property to meet.
Add child actions to	Two options are available: True - Adds child actions if the property value meets the conditions stipulated. False - Adds child actions if the property value doesn't meet the conditions stipulated.

Retrieve from model	The list of available models in your Applaud tenant.
Label	A meaningful label that helps you refer to this in later actions.

Select the property and the conditions that you want the property to meet.

Property	The model's property.
Criteria	A list of possible conditions to be met.
Value	The value that you want the condition of the property to meet.

Message	The message you want to appear to your users.
Token	Opens the INSERT A FIELD OR FUNCTION list, where you can choose a field or function to insert in your message. See our knowledge base article, Expression builder.
