The Create task action lets you assign tasks to specific users as part of your workflow. It’s perfect for guiding someone to take the next step, whether reviewing a document, completing a checklist, or approving a request.
You can block the workflow from continuing until the task is completed, or allow it to continue alongside the task. You can also set a due date and choose to send a reminder.
Task types
Task types help you (and your users) stay organised. When you assign a type to a task, like Preboarding, Offboarding, or Manager Action, it makes it easier for users to filter and find what they need.
You can pick from existing types or create your own to suit your process.
Task visibility
By default, users see their open tasks. But they can also view completed, cancelled, or other task statuses using filters to go back and check what’s already been done.
Example
When a new hire joins, you may create a preboarding checklist for a manager. The task can include steps such as confirming hardware, setting up access, or planning a welcome lunch. Once they complete the task, the workflow can proceed to the next step, like sending a welcome email to the new hire.
