Prerequisite
Procedure
- On the workflow chart, select the plus (+) icon.
- In the Workflow action dialog box, select Send notification.
- From the Send to list, choose who you want to notify. This can be a user group. See our knowledge base article, Add a new user group.
- In the Subject and Body boxes, type in the title and body of your notification message. You can use the expression builder to add dynamic content. For example, to add a field, type "@" and select a property from the list. To add a function, type "#" and select one from the list. See our knowledge base article on the expression builder.
- Under the Notification type section, select if you want to:

Choose an existing notification type:
- From the Type list, select the notification type you want to use.
- From the Link to page list, select one of your existing pages in your Applaud tenant. See our knowledge base article, Add a new page and header.
- From the Page instance Id list, select one.
- If you want the page to open in a dialog box, select the Open in a modal window option.

Create a new notification type:
- In the Title box, type in what you want to call your new notification type. Applaud populates the Internal name of new type automatically, but you can amend this.
- From the Icon of new type list, select the icon you want to appear on your notification.
- Under the Default channels for new type section, select if you want to send an Email or a Mobile text message.
- To include a link to an existing Applaud page, from the Link to page list, select the page you want the user to open from the notification.
- If you want the page to open in a dialog box, select the Open in a modal window option.

Select ADD.
