You can remove Slack access in two ways:
- Disconnect a workspace to remove the connection between your Applaud tenant and a Slack workspace.
- Uninstall the Applaud app to remove the app from a Slack workspace.
Choose the option that matches how you want to manage Slack access.
Required roles
| Action | Required role |
| Disconnect a workspace | Tenant admin, Product admin, or Experience Designer |
| Uninstall the Applaud app | Slack workspace owner or Slack workspace administrator |
Disconnect a workspace
Disconnect a workspace to stop employees in that workspace from accessing Applaud while keeping the Slack app installed.
- Sign in to Applaud.
- Go to Admin home > Channels > Slack.
- Select the workspace you want to disconnect.
- Select Disconnect.
- Confirm the action.
The workspace is removed from Connected workspaces.
What happens after you disconnect a workspace
- Employees in the disconnected workspace can no longer use Applaud in Slack.
- Other connected Slack workspaces continue to operate normally.
- You can reconnect the workspace at any time.
Uninstall the Applaud app
Uninstall the app when you no longer want it available in a Slack workspace.
- Open the Slack workspace.
- Go to the workspace app management page.
- Select the Applaud app.
- Uninstall the app.
Note: Uninstalling the app doesn't automatically disconnect the workspace from Applaud. If the workspace still appears under Connected workspaces, disconnect it from Admin home > Channels > Slack.
Reconnect a workspace
To use Applaud in the workspace again:
- Reinstall the Applaud app if it was uninstalled.
- Connect the workspace to your Applaud tenant.
For instructions, see Install and connect a Slack workspace.
