Before you connect Slack to Applaud, confirm that your Applaud tenant, Slack workspace, and test users meet the following requirements.
Applaud requirements
| Requirement | Details |
| Admin role | You must have the Tenant admin, Product admin, or Experience Designer role to manage communication channels. |
| Tenant access | You must be able to sign in to the correct Applaud tenant and access Admin home > Channels. |
| Slack availability | The Slack channel must be available in Channels. If it isn't available, contact Applaud Support. |
| Configured AI assistant | An AI assistant must be configured for external communication channels before employees can use Slack. |
Slack requirements
| Requirement | Details |
| Workspace | Identify the Slack workspace or workspaces you want to connect. |
| Slack administrator | A Slack workspace owner or administrator must be available to install the Applaud app and approve the required permissions. |
| App permissions | Your organization must allow the permissions required by the Applaud Slack app. |
| Security policies | Verify that your organization's Slack security policies allow the Applaud app in the selected workspaces. |
Test user requirements
Before testing the Slack channel, confirm that your test users:
- Have active Applaud user accounts.
- Can access a connected Slack workspace.
- Can complete account linking when prompted.
