Use this scenario when a SharePoint site is no longer maintained, and you want to prevent the AI Assistant from using outdated information.
Scenario
Your organization has moved to a new employee benefits provider and published updated guidance in a new SharePoint site.
The previous benefits site is no longer maintained and contains outdated policies and provider information. To ensure employees receive accurate answers, you disconnect the outdated SharePoint site from the SharePoint knowledge connector.
Before you begin
- Make sure the outdated SharePoint site is currently connected to the SharePoint knowledge connector.
Complete the task
Disconnect the outdated SharePoint site.
For more information, see Disconnect a SharePoint site.
Next steps
After disconnecting the outdated site, you can:
- Connect the replacement SharePoint site.
- Create or update knowledge directly in Applaud, if required.
- Review your connected SharePoint sites to ensure they remain within your subscription limit.
Validate the scenario
After the site has been removed, ask the AI Assistant a question about employee benefits and verify that:
- The response uses current benefits information.
- The response doesn't reference content from the disconnected SharePoint site.
- Any citations point to the current knowledge source.
Expected outcome
Employees receive answers based on current benefits information.
After the removal process is complete, the AI Assistant no longer uses content from the disconnected SharePoint site.
