Grant Microsoft administrator consent to allow Applaud to connect to your Microsoft 365 tenant. After consent is granted, you can connect shared mailboxes for the Outlook channel.
Before you begin
Before you grant administrator consent, make sure that:
- Your Applaud subscription includes the Outlook channel.
- You're signed in to Applaud with one of the following roles:
- Tenant admin
- Product admin
- Experience designer
- You have access to a Microsoft account that can grant tenant-wide administrator consent.
- Your browser allows pop-ups for Applaud so that the Microsoft sign-in window can open.
Grant administrator consent
- In Applaud admin, select Channels.
- Select Outlook.
- Select Connect.
- The Microsoft sign-in window opens; sign in with a Microsoft administrator account.
- Review the requested permissions.
- Select Accept.
- Wait for Applaud to complete the connection.
Note: Keep the Applaud page open until the connection is complete. Closing the page before the process finishes can interrupt setup.
Verify the connection
When the connection is successful:
- The Outlook channel displays Connected.
- The Manage mailboxes page opens automatically.
- You're ready to connect shared mailboxes.
Troubleshooting
| If... | Try this |
| The Microsoft sign-in window doesn't open. | Allow pop-ups for Applaud, and then select Connect again. |
| You can't grant consent. | Sign in with a Microsoft administrator account that can grant tenant-wide consent. |
| Sign-in is blocked. | Complete any required multifactor authentication (MFA) or Conditional Access requirements, and then try again. |
| The connection times out. | Select Connect again and complete the sign-in process without closing the Applaud page. |
| The Outlook channel doesn't connect. | Confirm that your subscription includes the Outlook channel and that Microsoft administrator consent was granted successfully. |
