You can point your Applaud Cloud tenant to a custom domain so that it's easier to remember and more personalized to your users. However, before you set this, your network administrator needs to change your domain's DNS records. This requires a CNAME record from your custom domain to your Applaud domain, for example, mycompany-com.applaudcloud.com.
Typically, you have a development, test, and production tenant. You'll probably want a custom domain in your production one, but you might not in the development or test one. If you do, you might want to call them something like:
-
- dev-applaud.mydomain.com
- test-applaud.mydomain.com
- applaud.mydomain.com
Changes to DNS records can take up to 48 hours to propagate fully. Once the DNS records have been changed, you can enter the custom domain into your Applaud tenant's settings.
You can map one of your own domain names to Applaud Cloud. For example, you could use applaud.mycompany.com instead of mycompany-com.applaudcloud.com. We'll set up SSL (HTTPS) for you so you can be sure the site is secure.
Procedure
-
- On the Admin home page, select Settings.
- Under the Custom Domain section, in the Custom Domain box, type in your custom domain.
