When using the native app for the first time, it will ask for your company name or email address and connect to your instance. You have entered these, but the app is unable to connect.
You have two options here:
- Enter the hostname in the Company name/Email field
- Although not advertised, this will work. Enter the hostname of your on-premise environment you wish to connect to in the company name/email field. When entering the hostname, be sure to only enter the part up to the host. For example, enter http://ebshost.ebsdomain:8000, not http://ebshost.ebsdomain:8000/OA_HTML/AppsLogin. The device must have network access to the hostname you enter here. Therefore, it would be best if you tried pasting the URL into your device's mobile browser first to confirm network access.
- Contact Applaud Support and ask for us to create a mapping
- The mapping entry contains a list of allowable company names and email domains mapped to a hostname. Once this mapping is defined, you can enter a valid company name or email address and auto-connect to the correct host. This makes it easier for employees to connect and improves their user experience.
