This block allows you to display a simple Org Chart:
This shows the selected person and all managers up to the top. If the selected person is a manager, you can select that node to expand their direct reports and navigate down the hierarchy.
Functional differences to similar blocks
|Type of block
|Differences to Mini-hierarchy block
|The Org Chart block is deprecated and has been replaced by the Assignment list - Org Chart layout.
|The Assignment list block is often used to show a list of Direct Reports and provides several layouts including a full Org Chart, a grid view, and a list view. The Assignment list block has full capabilities, whereas this block is a simple summary of the person's chain to the top.
|The list block can display a list of any information, including a list of people. It is possible to implement the same behavior as Mini-hierarchy using the List block; in fact, the Mini-hierarchy is an implementation of the List block. You could also use the List block to show lists of people besides the hierarchy. For example, everyone in Finance; everyone with the tag Human Resources.
The block has these additional settings:
|No items text
|We couldn't find any hierarchy information to show
|The text to show when the user's hierarchy could not be found. For example, if the supervisor hierarchy is used but the person is not in the supervisor hierarchy.
|Navigate to page
|The page the user navigates to when selecting a person in the Mini-hierarchy. The default is the special alias person-home, which navigates to the first accessible page in that person's sub-menu.
