The Approval action sends a request to a selected user, asking them to approve or reject something, like a leave request, expense, or update. You can send this to a specific person or dynamically select a user based on your model’s data, such as the requestor’s manager.
You can also personalise the message using information from the record, such as the employee’s name, request details, or reason, so approvers get the context they need to make fast, informed decisions.
Before the approval is sent, you’ll choose which form the user needs to review and respond to.
Example
Say an employee submits a vacation request. The approval is automatically routed to their manager. The manager receives the request with all the key details, dates, reason, and notes, and decides to approve or reject it.
The employee can see who’s responsible for the decision, and an information chip shows them the current status, so they’re never left wondering what’s happening.
