Filter report data – Applaud Support

Use filters to control which records appear in a report. Add fixed filters that always apply, or create parameters that let you choose filter values each time you run the report.

Before you begin

You must have permission to create or edit reports.

Add filters

From Applaud admin, select Reporting.
Open an existing report or select Create report.
Complete the initial report setup until you reach Filters.
Select the field you want to filter, such as Status, Team, or Priority.
Choose an operator, such as Is, Is not, or Contains.
Enter or select the filter value.
To add another filter, select Add condition.
(Optional) Select Live preview to verify the results.
Select Create report or Save.

Combine filter conditions

Use multiple filter conditions to narrow the data returned by a report. You can configure a report to:

Match all conditions.
Match any condition.
Group conditions to create more complex filter logic.

Note: A report can contain up to 20 filter conditions across all groups.

Add parameters

Parameters allow you to provide filter values each time you run a report, making a single report reusable for different scenarios.

Open the Parameters section in Report builder.
Select the field you want to prompt for.
Enter a prompt label.
(Optional) Specify a default value.
(Optional) Mark the parameter as Required.
To add another parameter, select Add prompt.
Select Save.

When you run the report, you're prompted to enter the requested values before the report is generated. For scheduled reports, configure default parameter values so the report can run automatically.

Preview report results

Use Live preview to validate your report before saving it.

Select Live preview.
Verify that the returned records match the expected results.
Adjust the filters or parameters as needed.
