Platform:

The Sign In form now has an optional Forgotten Username feature. This is disabled by default. Enable this functionality by querying the grant All Users - XXAS_BK_FORGOT_USERNAME in Functional Administrator, updating it to remove the End Date, and then clear the global cache.
You can now mass reassign workflow notifications in the notification listing. This is disabled by default. To enable, please see the documentation.
Removed the 'Refresh' quick link on desktops and tablets. Evidence showed users used the browser refresh instead and this was an unnecessary distraction.
Deleting an absence will now automatically delete the vacation rule if one exists with matching dates
Remove a few hard-coded references to synonyms for improved 12.2 compatibility
Fixes a patch installation error that could occasionally fail with "ORA-28102: policy does not exist".

Corrects an issue where some places were showing a person's previous name and were not observing date-track correctly

Performance:

Rich text is now supported on the overall comments and goal and competency comments, allowing the user to use headings, bold, italics, and underline etc. The overall comments include rich text by default. You can optionally use rich text on goal and competency comments by adding the &richTextComment=true request parameter to the REST API source.
Overall Comments, goal and competency comments are now unrestricted in length (they were previously restricted to 4000 bytes).
Fixes an issue where goals were stuck at Draft status when a performance admin pushes onto the next step on behalf of a manager
Corrects an issue where multiple 'You' tabs were showing unnecessarily on the performance questionnaire
Goal comments were showing the step change date, not the goal comment last update date; this is now fixed.
Fixes an error when creating ad hoc reviews (The parameter 'p_perf_plan_enrollment_id' is null).

Users can now log in to the mobile app on iOS using Touch ID. This feature is not available in Single Sign On configurations.
The mobile app now supports iOS 3D Touch and will show a user's "most used" items when hard touching the app icon on the home screen. Users are required to login at least once following the app update for the items to show.
Forms that been auto-saved now show a bar at the top of the form notifying the user of the autosave and giving them the option to reset the form or dismiss the bar.
Form blocks now support a pRedirectToPageId and pRedirectToObjectId function parameter that allows the form to redirect to another page on submission. Performance:

A new block can be shown when the current supervisor (or other step owner) has changed on a performance review. This notifies the user that ownership has changed and provides an option to transfer to the new supervisor. Contact Applaud Support for assistance configuring this new block.
Goal comments and ratings entered in a performance review are now auto-saved and do not need to be submitted individually.
Completed performance reviews can now be re-opened by users with access to the new re-open item action. When re-opening, the user is prompted to choose the step it should be re-opened at. Contact Applaud Support for assistance configuring this new block.
When a manager submits a performance review, it now redirects to their dashboard. When an employee submits a performance review, it redirects to their performance home page.
A new 'Signature - optional' phase has been introduced. This allows for performance reviews, such as goal-setting, to have a 'soft' manager signature, which essentially means the review is completed without the optional signature.
Goal ratings can be hidden for certain types or categories of goals by using the request parameter hideRatingForTypes or hideRatingForCategories on the goals-in-review/by-review/{reviewFormId} REST API defined on the goals list block. A new Absence balances block is available, which shows a chart of used vs entitled accrual balances. The seeded formula XXAS_EMP_VIEW_ASG_VIEW, which can be used by a flexible block to show employee details, has now been updated to show additional fields.
