Global settings define organization-wide defaults for the agent experience. They apply across all agents and conversations unless a specific agent configuration overrides them. Use global settings to control shared elements such as disclaimer text.
Options
Anonymous label
Specifies the name shown for the agent when a user accesses it without signing in. If you don't provide a name, the agent displays a default prompt such as 'Sign in for help'.
Disclaimer
Displays a standard message at the start of conversations. Use this to communicate legal or safety information (for example, that AI responses may be inaccurate and should be verified).
Procedure
- On the Admin home page, select Agents.
- On the Agents page, select GLOBAL SETTINGS.
- In the Anonymous agent label box, enter a unique name to display to users when they're not signed into Applaud.
- In the Disclaimer box, enter a custom disclaimer to appear to users when they're not signed in.
- Select SAVE.
