This other leave template adds another time off service so that your employees can learn about the policy and content for all time off categories, track historical or ongoing time off, learn how to request other time off, and self-serve answers to frequent questions. It adds functionality to a manager's time off calendar that shows all their team's time off on a single calendar. It includes HR pages to view other time off, add new, amend, delete, and manage time off categories.

Time off setup
To make each article relevant to the installed functionality, we've only mentioned certain workflows or pages installed by this template. To see how to add a time-off category and a time-off plan, see our knowledge base article, Time off pack.
Pages
The Other leave template adds the Other leave page, where employees can view their other leave past requests and request other leave. The page also shows time-off Alerts, FAQs, Knowledge articles, Useful links, and links to other services, for example, if you install the other time-off templates, you could link to those services such as Sickness, Family leave, Volunteering, or Annual leave. Each block uses filters to only show the relevant material for the page. Make sure you edit the block and change the filters to what you need. On the Past requests block. select REQUEST OTHER, which opens the Request other leave page in a modal window:
The page shows links to the support page installed by the Help and case management template.
Follow-up tasks
- After installation, make sure you assign yourself the HRSS role. Otherwise, you might not be able to access some of the pages. See our knowledge base article, Assign or revoke a role.
- Add your policy information for time off knowledge articles, FAQs, useful links, and highlights. You might be able to set up automation using workflows to add your content. See our knowledge base article, About Applaud's integration with Workato.
- Define your time off categories. See our knowledge base article, Content Categories.
- Add the Other time off page to your service catalog, which requires the Service Catalog template. Alternatively, you can install the Time off Pack template.
