We've designed the Performance template to help bring your organization's performance review goals and ratings into one place. So your employees, their manager, and HR can view an employee's goals and review ratings. The template adds functionality that we've documented in other knowledge base articles:

Prerequisites
- Make sure you have a system where you record your performance goals and review ratings.
- Install the Content Categories template.
Models
This template adds two models. The first is the Goal model, which stores the goals set for the employee. You can use integrations to populate this model. For example, see our knowledge base article, About Applaud's integration with Workato. To ensure your model is in line with your third-party review system, make sure you add or remove properties so they're relevant to you. See our knowledge base article, Add a property to your model's schema.
The second is the Performance rating model. Again, you can use integrations to populate this model. Make sure you have connected your tenant to workato, see our knowledge base article, Connect Workato to your Applaud tenant.
Pages
The template adds the Performance page, where you can view the goals, performance ratings, and links to other helpful materials.
The Alerts block at the top of the page can help to remind users of the review period. You can manage these in your platform, see our knowledge base article, Alerts.
We've configured the Alerts list block with filters to display published alerts with the assigned Learning & development content category. Still, you can change this to your preferred category to ensure the list shows only relevant alerts relating to performance reviews.
The Goals block displays items stored with the Goal model. You can add a workflow to this model and, using integrations, update the model with your review goals from your third-party system. See our knowledge base article, Add a Trigger integration workflow action.
The Performance ratings block displays items stored with the Performance rating model. Again, you can use workflows and integrations to update this list block.
The block uses the Performance rating (embedded form) page to show the star rating on the list item in the block:
This form contains the Number rating property from the Performance rating model.
Next on the Performance page is a full-width rich text block that separates your Performance ratings and goals from links to relevant, helpful content.
The helpful content are list blocks showing items from knowledge articles, FAQs, and Useful links:
You can configure the filters on these blocks to show the relevant content for your review process. See our knowledge base article, Content library pack. For example, we've configured these blocks with the "Talent management" content category. Update this filter to your category for your review process.
In addition to using integration to update your Performance rating list block on the Performance page, you can also add reviews straight into your Applaud platform using the Performance ratings page:
Select ADD RATING, which opens the Performance rating page in a modal window, select the person the review is for, enter the review details and select SAVE.
Follow-up tasks
- Load in the goals and performance review from your third-party review application.
- To ensure your users can find their performance review details, add the Performance page to a menu or to the home page searchable navigation.
