Bring assigned learning and personalized content together with the Learning template to improve completion rates and the learning experience.
The Learning template contains content from other templates that we've documented in these knowledge base articles:
- Roles: Employee, manager, and HRSS
- Knowledge articles
- Useful links
- Content Categories
This template adds the Person learning model to hold the information to enroll an employee onto a learning course:
You can edit or add properties to any model to fit your organization's exact needs. See our knowledge base article, Add a property to your model's schema.
The template also adds the Learning model to store the training course details:
The Person learning model has one workflow, which sets the overdue flag on assigned learning when overdue.
The template adds the Learning catalog page, where you can add your learning items:
To add a learning item in the top right corner, select Publish new, which opens the Learning item page in a modal window:
Enter information for the assignment. Alternatively, you can import external learning content through integrations, see our knowledge base article, About Applaud's integration with Workato.
Another page the template adds is the Assigned learning page, which you can use to see the learning items for your employees:
To assign learning, select Assign learning, which opens the Assign learning page in a modal window:
On the Learning page, the FAQs, Knowledge articles, and Useful links list blocks filter the lists to only show items categorized by the Learning and development criteria.
An employee's Learning page should look something like this:
To show this page with content, we populated the models linked to the Knowledge, FAQs, Useful links, and Alerts content blocks as an example. You can personalize the employee experience using countries and personas to target content. See our knowledge base articles mentioned previously in this article.
We encourage you to play around with the layout and content blocks until you find what works best for your organization. The sample structure is just a starting point to inspire you.
When you're happy with the design, structure, and functionality, consider adding the Learning page to a menu. See our knowledge base article, About menus.
The Completed course page provides a historical record of an employee's completed courses, and you can access it by selecting View completed on the Learning page:
