Models
It adds the Alert model to hold data about alerts.

Workflows
The template also adds a workflow, which sends a reminder notification to the alert content owner three days before the alert date to refresh the content:

Another workflow auto-retires expired alert content a day after the date of the alert by setting the status to retired and sending a notification to the owner:

You have two, page actions on this page, one opens the About Alerts page in a modal window:

The other opens the Alert page in a modal window so you can add new alerts:
We've configured the list on the Alerts page so that when you select the item, the Alert Preview page opens in a modal window:
The Edit page action opens the Edit Alert page, which, when you open it with an item in context, the page displays a Delete action.
Search settings
The template also installs an Alerts search object.
