When human support agents are unavailable, chatbots can support users, handle routine issues, and log problems they can't solve.
AI-powered or Rule-based?
You have two options for creating a chatbot. One option is an AI-powered chatbot that uses data from Applaud to respond to employees' inquiries. The second option is a rules-based chatbot that can answer specific queries. All data is kept secure, and employees are only able to access information that is designated for them based on the access control levels that you have set up.
Integration
You can copy the chatbot widget and integrate it into any sites you want outside of Applaud. You can also use Workato to integrate your bot with Slack and Microsoft Teams. See our knowledge base article, About integrating your AI chatbot with other providers.
Launch your chatbot
You can create bots to open a chat with your users either immediately, every time, or when they perform a certain action on the page. For example, when they perform a search and get no results or when they go to close the browser down.
The chatbot widget appears in the bottom right of the screen. You can either just show the bubble or actively ask your user a question. The user can choose to ignore the message or select the message to open the chat window.
