If you enable SSO but then can't log in using SSO, you can use the local login to regain access. This is only available to users with the Tenant admin user role. See our knowledge base article, Rescue URL for tenant administrators.
The Applaud experience supports any single sign-on solution that works with OAuth, SAML 2.0, or JWT. You can easily integrate with systems such as Okta, OneLogin, Active Directory, or Ping identity.
Single sign-on not only improves enterprise security but also improves usability. Users tend to use the same password on multiple accounts. This means if a hacker can access one account, they can likely access them all. Single sign-on minimizes this risk while offering the user access without having to enter their credentials each time. The Applaud mobile app also supports biometric sign-in: Face ID, Touch ID, and Android fingerprint enabling simple sign-in while ensuring the highest security levels.
Signing in
The default sign-in method is a username and password but you can choose to set up your Applaud tenant with Single Sign-On (SSO). When users sign in to your mobile app for the first time they have the choice to use their device's biometric login. For example, Face ID to log in using your face.
