Welcome to your Applaud platform! We're excited to show you what we can do, but before we get started, let us show you around and tell you a little about how your platform works.
What is Applaud?
Applaud is a platform layer where you can design the front end and integrate your existing HR systems without code. We've created the Applaud platform to enhance and energize your current HR service to deliver one united workforce experience layer.
You can have:
- All your employee and manager services are in one place.
- An easy-to-use consumer-grade experience.
- Access anywhere and at any time.
- Integration with your current HR content and systems.
- A simplified and improved workforce experience.
What can you do with Applaud?
Have you ever wanted to change a process to suit your organization without changing existing HR systems? Well, now you can! You can create pages and workflows to work precisely how you want a process to work, whether capturing data with a form and passing it to the right system or notifying the right person. You can create a visually exciting, intuitive employee experience that fits your brand and organization's culture.
You can control how various users experience your HR services, from new hires, contractors, employees, managers, and even leavers. Users who sign in to your platform see their specific information and access whatever you assign to their role. The user experiences a single place to access all HR services with an easy-to-use mobile-first interface using the Applaud app or a browser.
How does Applaud manage data?
To handle data in Applaud, we use models. Models store, categorize, and organize data. Each model contains properties with a specific type so Applaud can process the data correctly, for example, a free text, date, or number property. Once built, you can add an integration to populate the model with data from your systems and, when updated, pass it back to update your system. See our knowledge base article, About models.
So, how do you create your experience layer?
Once you've designed how you want your processes to work and added your models, you can start building your pages with various types of content blocks. You can use pages to display data to your users, for example, a directory list. What you see on your list is determined by information from the model you choose.
Is there a quicker way?
Yes! We have added several templates, which add models, workflows, pages, and other components, which you can install and then configure to suit your organization's needs. Start with our knowledge base article, Alerts.
