True WYSIWYG editor
We've improved the Rich text editor so that it keeps the formatting of your text the same as you have entered it, meaning a true WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) experience.
Previously, you had to enter additional <br/> tags to force linebreaks in your content, so in your HTML editor, it might have looked something like this:
<p>Fancy some time...</p>
<br/><br/>
<p>Request your desk...<p>
and after saving, it would like the image below:
Saved version:
Once you select Opt-in to corrected rich text formatting, you will see:
Because you've got two breaks and spacing above/below each paragraph mark, you will need to edit the text to remove the <br/> tags so you end up with:
<p>Fancy some time...</p>
<p>Request your desk...<p>
Which formats it just the way you'd expect.
To ensure consistent formatting across all of your content, you will want to check anywhere where the rich text editor is used:
- Rich text blocks
- No data messages and instructional text on lists
- Rich text content created by forms and detail blocks
- Additional rich text added to forms
