Bots Analytics
We have added new sections to the chat analytics page to help you gain deeper insights into your content's performance. This will help you understand what is working well and what needs improvement.
Most Effective Topics
This section displays topics with the highest positive sentiment or the most ratings. You can click on a topic to view detailed snippets. You can sort the topics by Strongest Sentiment (default) or Most Ratings.
Least Effective Topics
This section identifies topics with lower sentiment or fewer ratings. Click on a topic to view detailed snippets. You can sort the topics by Strongest Sentiment (default) or Most Ratings.
Most Viewed
This section shows content ranked by most views by default. It also displays likes, dislikes, and view counts for each item. You have additional sorting options such as Least Views, Most Ratings, Least Ratings, Most Liked, Most Disliked, Strongest Sentiment, and Weakest Sentiment.

Phone number field validation
We've added validation to the phone number field to ensure accurate data entry:

Creator Platform - Chatbots
New chat sessions and recent conversations
We've improved the chat window so you can start a new chat session with any bot and view your recent conversations.
To start a new chat with a bot, select the plus sign next to the bot, and a new chat session begins:
To check out your recent conversations with a chatbot, select the chatbot, and they appear on the sidebar:
Rename and delete a chat
We've enhanced your chatbot experience so you can view your chat history and easily rename or delete conversations from the chat history list. If you delete your current chat, a new chat will start automatically with the most relevant bot. These improvements provide better control and organization of your chatbot interactions, ensuring a smoother and more personalized user experience.
Edit your chatbot conversation names under the History section:
Select Edit by hovering over the conversation. Edit the name to make it more memorable for you.
Alternatively, if you want to remove the conversation, you can select delete.

Creator Platform - Workflows
Run a workflow on task completion
We have simplified the process of automating tasks in Applaud. This update is especially useful for those overseeing processes like onboarding or offboarding, where actions need to occur automatically upon task completion.
Nothing trigger
We've added a new trigger option for cases where no specific event or condition is required to initiate a workflow.
Nominate a Workflow
We have added a new option to the Create Task workflow action: Run this workflow when the task is complete. You can select a workflow from the list to trigger when the user completes the task. This gives you more flexibility and control over workflow sequences, especially in complex processes where follow-up actions are needed after a task is finished.
You now have the option to automatically run a specific workflow once a task is marked as complete without manual intervention. You can add this option at any time and easily select relevant workflows. See our knowledge base articles, Create a workflow and Add a Create task workflow action.
Translation support
We've added automatic translation to these workflow actions:
- Create Instance
- Set Property
When triggered, these actions copy overridden translations from the source to the target property. Translation occurs only when both properties are translatable, and the entire property is copied. If functions are applied, translations won't be copied except when a single token is used without spaces. See our knowledge base article, About workflows.
Creator Platform - Validation Rules
Show external API response directly after form submission
If you have a form that updates data to an external integration from Applaud, you can now use the validation from that application in Applaud.
External validation through Integration
We've added a new External Validation through Integration validation action when adding create, update, and delete validation rules.
When you select this action, two branches are added to handle the pass and fail responses from the Workato connector. Use this new action in conjunction with an integration Workato recipe.
Validation rule trigger
We've added a new Validation rule trigger for the Applaud connector, which triggers when a validation rule is triggered in Applaud.
Set validation result action
We've added a new Set Validation Result action for the Applaud connector, which returns the response from an external API/connector to the Applaud validation rule.
Validation messages from the external integration application are now displayed to the user. For more information, see our knowledge base article, About validation rules.
Copy multiple values
We've updated these workflow actions so you can copy a property with multiple values to another property that allows multiple values when they relate to the same model:
- Set property
- Create model instance
Bulk update related-instances
We've updated these workflow actions so that you can bulk update a property on related instances:
- Set property
- Clear property
This works for a "references many" relationship, where a foreign key is on the model itself with the Allow multiple property option selected. This also works for a "has many" relationship, where a foreign key property links back to the model. See our knowledge base article, About models.
Creator Platform - Form block
Date restrictions
We have added functionality so you can add date restrictions to the date picker and calendar block to prevent your users from selecting public holidays and weekends.
Holiday calendar standard models
We've added two new models to store the data for managing your company's public holidays. You can import holiday data using the in-product model import function or our Workator integration. Link the models to the Person model to ensure a more personalized calendar.
Date Range Picker
You can highlight and prevent weekends and public holidays from being selected on the date picker. If your form is being used for all employees who might have different holiday calendars, you can select the user's holiday calendar. If your employees will all have the same public holidays you can select a holiday calendar after you've imported the data to the models.
Once you have imported your holiday dates and configured your date field, users can see weekends and public holidays highlighted and/or disabled for selection.
Form Interactions
We've added new target attributes:
- Highlight weekends - Visually distinguishes weekends on the calendar by highlighting them, making it easier for users to identify Saturdays and Sundays.
- Disable Weekends - Prevents users from selecting weekends on the calendar, restricting selectable dates to weekdays only.
- Highlight public holidays - Marks the public holidays on the calendar with a distinctive highlight, helping users quickly recognize these special dates.
- Disable public holidays - Prevents users from selecting public holidays on the calendar, ensuring that these dates cannot be chosen for scheduling purposes.
- Holiday calendars - Integrates regional or organizational holiday calendars into the form, automatically recognizing and applying public holidays to the user's schedule.

Creator Platform - Models
Set as secondary unique key option
We've updated the Set as secondary unique key option on the Property details. You can now select this option even if no values are stored on the property yet.
You can update this value using import, bulk upsert, and API requests. This facilitates the import and update of other property values when the value for this property is null while still enforcing unique value constraints. See our knowledge base article, About models.
Creator Platform - Integration
Translation support for Workato Applaud connector
We've added a new field, Original Language, to the Applaud connector in Workato to support content translation.
When you use the connector to create or update data, you can use this new field to select from the installed languages on the tenant. This includes all base languages and regional dialects. However, only one can be chosen. See our knowledge base article, About Applaud's integration with Workato.
Choose AI bot to interact with external bots
We have developed a new feature for generative AI chatbots that allows you to select a bot to converse with other bots and generate responses. Once you choose this new option, you can use an external bot to communicate with the chosen bot and interact with the Applaud bots.
This feature is only for Generative AI bots and won't work with rule-based bots. You can only select one bot at a time. When you select this option for a bot, any previously chosen bots are unselected. See our knowledge base article, Add a new chatbot.
Creator Platform - Mobile App
Expired certificate message
We have implemented immediate error notifications for users building apps with expired or mismatched certificates. Upon clicking "Download App," users receive instant error messages in the following cases:
- The certificates have expired.
- The provision profiles do not match.
- The app's bundle ID in the certificate does not match its name.
- The password for push notifications is incorrect.
These enhancements ensure users are promptly informed of issues, preventing confusion and facilitating smoother app development. Read more about building apps in our knowledge base article, About mobile apps.
