Authentication using a phone number
Settings page
We've added a new Username setting option to the Sign in section on the Settings page:
The default option is Email only. However, you can now choose to set this to Email and phone number.
Invite user
When you select this new Email and phone number username option, a new Phone number field appears on the Invite user dialog box:
Mobile text invite
Once you invite users using their phone number, they'll receive a text message with a link to set their password.
Property
We've added a new Phone number property type to the model's properties:
Edit field
You can edit the field as normal in the form:
User model
We've added the standard Phone number property to the user model:
User definition page
We've added the Phone number added during Two-factor authentication to the User definition page:
If you already have an account and add a phone number, here we send you a confirmation email to verify that a new phone number has been added for you.
Similarly, if a phone number is removed from your account, we'll notify you by email, and you'll no longer be able to use your phone number to sign in to your account.
Sign in to your account
When you select the new phone number setting, users can use either their email or phone number to sign in to the platform:
The format of the phone number must be country code and then phone number. For example, +447766554433. For the first sign-in with a phone number, users will be sent a verification code, which they must enter to sign in.
Reset your password
If the new setting is selected, you can also use your phone number to reset your password after selecting Forgotten your password on the sign-in page:
You'll receive a mobile text message:

We've also added push notifications on mobile for the native app:
Users page
After you select the new Username setting to Email and phone number, the phone number of each user appears on the Users page:
Invitation label
For authentication using a phone number, we changed the label from "Send email invitation" to "Send a user invitation" in the create user instance action.
The rich text block editor
Improvements
Editor
We've improved the Rich text editor so that it keeps the formatting of your text the same as you have entered it. We've also added a number of formatting options to the new toolbar:
To use these new options, you MUST select the new Rich text setting on the Settings page:
Selecting the Opt-in to corrected rich text formatting may affect the formatting of any existing content due to previous limitations, and you may need to revisit them. See our Rich text new vs. old article for more information.
Additional font size options
In addition to the default title sizes, we've added a new option so that you can change the size of a selection of text:
Tables
We've added the option to add tables and format them:
Target attribute on links
We've added the option to open a link in a new tab:
Image format and toolbar
We've added new size and position options so that you can format images better:
You can now select the blue outline on the image and resize it. The image toolbar displays other options:
You can also select the image positions to change the image's alignment, select a default size, add alternative text for screen readers, and add a link to the image.
Indent the content
You can format your content with any indentation and it will display accordingly.
Code snippet
You can include code snippet examples so your users can quickly copy example code. For example, some email signatures use code, and you can create a template for your users to use.
Link to any page in your Applaud tenant
You can now set text to open any page in your tenant. Use the format: /page-name
Full-screen mode
We've added the capability to open the rich text editor in Full-screen mode with a new toggle button:
Search
AI-powered global search results
We have made some enhancements to the global search feature. When you search for something, the chatbot will show up and provide you with search results based on your query. Additionally, if the global search returns no results on the page, the AI bot conversation starters will appear on the page, allowing the user to open a chat. Also, based on your past activity, the AI will suggest alternative results for you.

Global search results
We've improved the global search results so that all model data relevant to the search term are returned:
List search results
We've improved the search results on a list block so that if any models have any lists built with the search feature, all the model's values that match the search term are returned.
Pages
All content blocks on a page update
We've updated content blocks to update automatically if any of these changes are made in realtime:
- If a user's permissions change, the blocks update to match the user's new permissions.
- When any custom user property changes, that might affect the block's visibility.
Auto-updates for the Users page
We've added automatic updates to the Users page, so changes to a user's role or status are immediately displayed to everyone, resulting in improved performance.
Integration
Workato account for integration designer role users
We have updated how Workato accounts are created. Now, when a user is updated, their account is automatically created. However, to create an account, the user must have the Integration Designer user role in Applaud.
Language
Regional language
We've added a new option to Add a regional dialect for the installed language to the Settings page:
When you select a regional dialect from the list, the dialect appears on the user's settings pages:
Machine translation does not support dialects. Once a dialect is selected by the user, any modifications made to the text on the page are saved under that particular dialect. These modifications are visible to other users who have chosen the same dialect. If no edits are made, the translation defaults to the base language.
